Ruthenium Catalyst Supported on Multi-Walled Carbon Nanotubes for CO Oxidation

This work proposes the synthesis of 5%wt Ru on MWCNT catalyst and influence feed rate testing variables for low-temperature oxidation affecting CO2 yield. Morphology incorporation nanoparticles in carbon nanotubes were investigated by specific surface area (BET method); thermogravimetric analyses (TGA); X-ray diffraction; Raman spectroscopy, transmission electron microscopy (TEM) XPS. The conversions CO O2 mostly 100% groups C1 C2 (temperature between 200 500&#176C with low WHSV). In order to assess effect mass catalytic activity, condition C3 was tested at even lower temperatures. catalyst, high activity (100% conversion) observed, keeping it active under reaction conditions, suggesting oxi-reduction RuO2 without but Lewis acid influencing
